A not so exciting day in London

Wednesday was a free day, except for the people who had advising meetings with Mark and Beth.  So, pretty much all day was a free day except from 4:15-whenever the meeting was done.  The night before my roommate and I didn't get to bed until about 3, so we definitely slept in.  I had set my alarm for 8:30 so I could maybe grab breakfast, but once it started beeping I turned it off and went back to sleep.  Of course with this alarm I actually have to shut it off and not just hit the top, so the alarm went off again.  Not happy.  Kylie finally got up around 10:30 or so.  I laid in bed until she got out of the bathroom then slowly lifted myself to a sitting position.  That was probably around 11.  Still pretty groggy so I sat in bed for a while.  Turned on the telly and surfed some internet.  Around midday (noon) I got up and finally showered.  Joe got online around 2 so we chatted for a bit. Around 3:40 I went and got my computer checked out by an IT guy.  I have the good anti-virus software.  Go BV!  It's the anti-virus software his company recommends and uses.  I'm awesome like that.  My computer is now set up to print to the building so that's handy.  I took my computer back to my room then headed for my interview.  I got there a little early so I decided to check out the conference room at the end of the hall.  There are about 4-5 bookshelves full of books.  I got quite excited.  I popped my head into the hall a few times to make sure the girl ahead of me hadn't left yet.  She was still in there talking, even though it was past 4:15, eh.  I went back and checked out more of the books.  One shelf is full of English literature books, almost like heaven.  Though I haven't read even half of them.  I was eyeing all the ones that I want to read.  Around 4:30 I head back to the hall and sit in the chair, waiting to go in.  Finally the girl leaves and I head in and sit.  I tell them about how it's hard for me to adjust because I don't know anyone there.  And some people already have friends here and have known for a while.  Of course there are people here that don't know anyone, but they're much better at making friends and just going out and talking.  I'm hoping that once classes start it will get easier, maybe even after a few trips we take it will get easier.  Fringers crossed!
Mark went over my schedule with me and on Wednesday's I have three classes.  Two are at London Metropolitan University (LMU) and the other will be at an art gallery somewhere around this city.  Guess what my schedule will be like?  LMU in the morning, off to an art gallery, and then LMU back in the evening.  Yay.  So I will probably have about a 12 hour day with classes and traveling.  At least I'll get to know the city more.  I also asked if we could borrow books from the conference room, we can!  When my meeting is over I grabbed Rosenvrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard and then head up to my room and back down to the dining room since I really hadn't eaten all day, whoops.  I make myself some noodles (again).  I sat by myself at first since I was the only in there, but more girls come in to cook, they did invite me to sit with them, so that was nice.  After dinner I went up to my room and just relaxed.  Looked through more of my books on London, wondering where I should go and what I should do.  I have started a list, I just have to go out and do things now.  I sent some emails to people from back home.  I sent one to Nancy Marshall who i work for at school, checking up on Student Services and telling her about my time here and then one to Jerry Johnson, one of my professors at school.  Around 9:30 I head to the conference room to talk with my parents via skype.  I left so I wouldn't have to bother Kylie.  After talking with my parents I talked with Joe, then he took his computer over to my old suite and I got to talk to Jemy!!! (Jenny ;)  Saw Carrie, and made a full of myself when I called Dani, Cassidy.  Uh Oh.  That will take some time.  Later on in the conversation I got to see Tricia as well.  Nice to know that the girls are the same ;)  Miss them!  After talking for a little bit longer it was "past" my bed time.  I need to get into the habit of going to bed at a decent hour and not sleeping in so late.  :s  I'll work on it.  Neighbors loud again, so I had to use my earplugs so I could actually get to sleep!  Hopefully it gets better, or hopefully I get the courage to tell them to please quiet down or go to the lounge.  We'll see.  Hope whoever is reading this has a fantastic day!  Cheers
