I started my day by getting up at 8, early for me. :s I ate breakfast around 8:30, a bowl of frosted flakes. I don't remember what time I headed out for LMU. I got there pretty early actually, around 9:20. I went to one building, I thought my class was in, nope wrong one. The guy at reception told me to go to the tower building, I said ok. Then I headed to the building that we had our little orientation in and then asked a guy reception to help me out. Wrong building again, stupid LMU buildings and being so many of them. I finally made it to the right building and stood in line at reception to finally figure out where my classroom is. This building is two put together, as in two are connected, it's a crazy set up. They even have maps. Actually I met a girl who was in line at reception as well and we found out we have the same class together. Her name is Joelle (how I am going to spell it) and she is studying abroad as well. Our English literature class is very big, people had to bring in chairs. We read an excerpt from Saul Bellow's book "The Dangling Man". We got out of class about five minutes early so I went to the Rocket and got a booklet that has a bunch of short stories in we need to read for class. I then headed back to VH where I believe I will be able to stop back every Wednesday for a quick lunch. So I got to relax for about 30 minutes before heading back to the tube, off to The British Museum for Art in London. I get to the museum and we wait outside for a little while until everyone gets there. Finally we start, not everyone is there, but they eventually show up. We first talked about the outside of the building, how the architecture is similar to ancient Greek buildings, with the columns and the triangle on the top, which I think is the pediment.

After we got done talking about that we went inside to talk about some ancient Greek vases, some sculptures and we even got to see some of the Parthenon. We saw a head of Augustus and some Roman pottery and then we were done for the day.
On the frieze to the Parthenon, these are the Gods

We got done around 4:30 so I headed straight back to LMU. I went to the cafe area where I bought my "supper", a bag of chips, Sprite, and a twix. I sat by the window and looked at The Evening Standard. All of a sudden a bunch of girls ran to the window, so I looked out. Yes, there was blowing snow and yes they were talking about it, and I think how it was crazy. Kind of funny. I wanted to say to them that I was from Iowa where it snows all the time and is snowing there now. They'd probably go crazy. I then headed to my classroom. Our teacher is actually new this semester as well. She told us not to ask her where anything was because she doesn't know either, it was a little humorous. We were only in class for about an hour and 20 minutes. I headed back to VH with Steph and Hannah, as well as sat on the tube next to a Finnish woman who is in our class. We get off at Victoria station and start walking back. Ever since my awesome sandwich yesterday I had been wanting another one so I stop in at Pret on Victoria Street. I look for my sandwich, find it, grab it and buy it. I then head back to VH in the "cold". What is cold to us Londoners that is. I get to the dining room where I set my things down and start to take the tomatoes off my sandwich when I realize it's the wrong one :( This one has some sort of long piece of cheese. Not very happy, now. I take two bites and end up putting it back in the bag and in the fridge. I proceeded to make myself some tortellini again and had an apple. I then went up to my room and got comfortable for the night. No going to the pub for me. It was a long day and I just wanted to put my sweatpants on and sit in my bed. I started watching The Ugly Truth until Joe got on Skype so we chatted for a bit.
Something to add to my weekend, I think I may head over to Topshop to see what that store has to offer and there is a shoe place next door. I want boots. We'll see if I buy anything. I may head to Greece with Kelsey over spring break, so I need all the money I can get! Still no weekends planned yet :s Soon, hopefully. I am off to bed, it's getting hard to keep my eyes open. I hope everyone has a great night or day! Cheers
