My 1,500 pound puppy

March 23rd

Morgan and I woke early since we had a 'full' day of seeing London.  Our first stop was Harrods, but while walking to Green Park Station we passed by Buckingham Palace and got some pictures.  Then, it was off to Harrods; though I have been here for a few months now I had not stepped foot into Harrods.  It was amazing.  So very expensive, but it was like heaven.  I think that they have anything any 'rich' person needs.  Morgan and I first walked through the Harrods souvenir section, holy cow :o)  Then we headed up the Egyptian escalator to the upper floors.  We walked along the shoes, the beautiful dresses and headed to Pet Kingdom.  I don't quite know how to explain this, but I want to work in Harrods, in the animal section.  They have tons of animal collars, animal carriers, food even.  And...of course they have animals!  Harrods has the cutest little animals.  They had American Short hair kitties, Lhasa Apso puppies, they had hamsters and a rabbit, among more animals.  Of course they were very expensive, the puppies were 1,500 pounds and the kitties were 1,000 pounds.  Morgan and I did get to pet a puppy, it was so happy :D  Anyway, we then walked down to the furniture, we walked through the beds and then on to the used furniture where we took a little rest.
After we left Harrods we headed to Leicester Square where we walked and tried to find SoHo.  We stopped at a Thai restaurant for lunch.  The food wasn't too bad, I ordered beef with rice, and the rice came with lots of stuff in it.  I ate what i could.  The service was horrible though.  The lady who was taking everyone's orders and handing out food was not friendly at all.  She did not get a good tip, that is for sure.  After lunch we went on a hunt for The Hummingbird Bakery, there was no luck so we were going to look it up online later.  After searching for delicious cupcakes and being unsuccessful we headed to St. Paul's Cathedral.  We stepped inside and gawked at the beautiful ceiling and surrounding areas.  We dared not to go too far as we did not want to pay if we had to.  We then headed across Millennium Bridge and by the New Globe Theatre to where the old Globe Theatre once stood.  After seeing those sites we headed towards Big Ben and then to Westminster Abbey.  At this point the weather turned to not so lovely on us.  We headed into the Westminster Abbey shop and looked around for a bit.  When we left we walked back to VH where we spent the afternoon trying to figure out my fall schedule.  I only need a few more classes in my major, and a few for my gen eds, but otherwise all my classes are fillers.  I am taking about 10 credits of filler courses, awesome.  we also watched a movie on telly.  The movie was 'Young at Heart" and it wasn't all that bad.  When we realized what time it was we quickly went to The Hummingbird Bakery, we did look up directions and we got there 15 minutes before it was to close.  Next time I will have to go earlier, as there wasn't a large selection anymore.  I got a piece of cheesecake and a cupcake, while Morgan went for a brownie and a cupcake.  We then headed back and made mac and cheese for supper.  Where we ate a treat before and after dinner.  The rest of the night we watched two episodes of Little Britain and went to bed shortly after.  I had classed all day Wednesday and had to get Morgan to Victoria Coach station early in the morning.
I was so glad that Morgan was able to make it to London though.  Sad that she only had one day, but we caught up on things and it was just amazing to have someone around to venture out with, like I said when Rachel had come.  Also, like I have said before, I can't wait until my parents arrive!  Cheers
